Internal production
The core expertise of our internal production lies in the filling and assembly of writing accessories for measurement technology. This originated with the so-called “disposable nibs” and printheads. The disposable nibs alone consist of 5 individual parts, and are required in a wide range of shapes, colours and quantities. Due to the variety, it is impossible for the production process to be completely automated; only individual steps can be optimised by automation machines, which are developed and produced by our own tool construction.
DIA-Nielsen is now represented in many sectors, and in addition to the traditional area has created production capacity in which we offer our customers service work for small parts assembly of all types, from individual parts to large series.
In contrast to mechanics, which has specialised in the forming and joining of metallic components, and home-work, in which simple, low-cost work steps are carried out in mass production, internal production is concerned mainly with the following procedures:
- Fully-automatic and semi-automatic assembly
- Individual filing of units with ink reservoirs and ink cartridges (note: The ink used comes largely from our own internal laboratory)
- Ultrasonic welding
- Jointing of plastics by pressing or gluing
- Filling and assembly of ink cassettes with different ink rolls and subsequent shrink-packaging
- Operation of automation devices and machines
- Imprinting
